More fun family times

I have a fabulous girlfriend who takes pics of our kids. She is not a professional photographer but she does a great job of capturing some pretty special moments in our lives. So, here are some of those special moments

the gorgeous Lucy

It has been too long...

I was lookig through some friends blogs last night and realised that I hadnt been on here for a while. Then I looked and realised that it has been over a year!!! eeek. Bad blogger. Anyway, I have been thinking about family a lot lately as a friend (mainly friend of a friend) lost her son recently. Then on Australia day, we learn that she also lost her husband and best friend. I have felt such sadness and heartache for her and her 3 other sons as they grieve such a loss. It is unimaginable but she is a truly beautiful, strong and courageous woman - a woman that most women would want to be like as women, mothers and partners. Since hearing this tragic news, I refectede on the realtionships I have and began to appreciate, love and respect my family a whole lot more. I love and cherish my family to bits but there are times when we take each other for granted. I really want to change that and cherish every moment of our lives, the good and the bad. I love them to pieces and today is mine and Jules wedding anniversary so I am extra sentimetal (those of you who know me know I am emotional anyway!!)I love that man like crazy (even though he sometimes drives me nuts!!). He has always been there for me and we respect and love each other so much. WE have remained committed even though there have been times when it has been pretty stressful. It can be very challenging being a working woman, a step mother, mother and wife. But we support each other and do the best we can. There are challenges and following my recent reflection on family, love and happiness, I am so grateful to have my husband, children and step children in my life. I cant imagine a life without them. Anyway, enough mushiness and I will share some pics of my much loved family!!

bad blogger mummy is back!

I have been so slack with keeping up this blog..life gets so hectic sometimes but I do like to keep you all posted so here we go. The boys are a little crazy at the moment and into absolutely everything! Even as I sit here talking to you, they are tring to press the keys on the computer and pull all of the decorations off the xmas tree!! Arghhh! DEspite the craziness, I adore them and they are loads of fun. They have both developed a love for their bikes and the park so my daily routine is to now go and buy a double shot coffee!! and then we go to the park for a couple of hours. They love it and i love the sanity time as I gossip to other parents and theyv are happy. Oops something just crashed in the kitchen - back soon....
Ah, the terrible twos are setting in. The crash was the entire cuttlery drawer. Might come back to this when they are having their nap!

Updates on the other kids. Lucy had her end of year performance for her choir last night. She is a beautiful soul and her singing is gorgeous. love her to bits!! She si definitely born to be a performer
It will be Amy's 11th birthday this week. Wow, time flies, she was a wee little thing when I first met Jules and she became part of my family.
Will is going into his last year of primary so the high school search is on. I cant believe that i have a child going to high school! He is sooo smart, funny and at times, very cheeky.
Alice is now 9 and also developing the cheeky side of her personality. She is also growing more and more confident and has made some beautiful new friends this year. Love her to bits.

All of the kids are growing into beautiful young people and we are super proud of them all!

Boys and New Toys

The boys have their first bikes!! They look so cute and so grown up on them. We have not been able to convince them to do anything else for the last 48 hours!! They have been riding all over the house and we even ventured to the park where everyone stopped and öoohed"and aaaahed"over the cuteness of them!!. I cannot believe that they are on bikes already. They are approaching the big 20month mark. Jules and I are constantly amazed by them, their beautiful personalities and their absolute love for each other. They take care of each other and it is so lovely to see! Anyway, back to the bikes, they have become very fast very quickly. Ames, Will ,lucy and Ali - they will be overtaking you guys before long! Anyway, here are the gorgeous wee (or not so wee anymore!) gems.........

Charlie is a star!

I keep forgetting to post the news that Charlie is a TV star!! Well, a little one. He (or mainly his feet) are featured in a commercial for "get walking Tasmania". One of my girlfriends works with the Heart foundation and asked my cutie Felix to star. However, he became camera shy and wouldnt perform so Charlie the Extrovert came to the party. They filmed him and took his photo. Super cute. Those of you in Tassie - it is on southern cross every night for a few weeks

I have just noticed that i forgot to actually post some pics of the kids in my last entry! I was too busy looking at pics of me and jules relaxing (doesnt happen very often!) So, here they are...

updates...

I am sorry for those who have been checking the blog regularly (hopefully someone does!) but I have been very slack with keeping you posted. We have such a crazy life at times. I thought I would post some random pics of the kids. All of our kids are doing beautifully. I love them so much. They drive me nuts but definitely make life interesting and they love us and each other to bits which makes it all worth while. The boys spent a night away with Nanny and Poppy this weekend so that Jules and I could have some "lovey dovey"time. We went with some of our beautiful friends to Avalon on the East Coast of Tas. It was soooo beautiful and lovely to act like adults and a couple. We missed the kids like crazy but realise that we need to make time for each other also. We have a very strong marriage which I cherish and do not want to lose that. Anyway, enough mushiness, I will post some pics of the gorgeous Avalon and some of our lovely children. We do have a good life!!

felix is up and walking. HELP!!!!!

Felix is finally walking at 17 months! I cant believe it. I was starting to think that he would be destined to sit on the ground looking up at the world forever! At the mo, he looks super cute if not a little clumsy. He looked so proud of himself and I was squealing with delight which scared him. oops. Tonight was the first time all of the family have seen him even take a step. We have had a running joke that he is really like Andy from Little Britain (if you are a fellow lover of LB) and when Lou (us) arent watching, he runs around and then sits back down when we are in eye shot!!! anyway, congrats my little darling. Another major milestone down. I am proud of both my sweethearts xx
ps I was going to add some footage of the big event but of course, he wouldnt perform when the camera was on. Next time, promise I will have proof!

chris and felix

My Bestie

This is nothing to do with the twins but wanted to share some pics of my bestie, Felicia, her partner Chris and their gorgeous 12 week old bub, Olive. She is sooo beautiful and I am so happy for Felicia and Chris who are wonderful and beautiful parents. I am so glad that we finally get to be mums together. We have been friends for so long and she is a treasure in my life. I cannot imagine life without her and now I cannot imagine life without little olive. She is truly special. So here she is ...

more of the NSW

our trip to NSW

Jules and I took the twins on a week away to NSW to visit my family. Jules suggested this as a way to stop me pining for the older kids who I miss terribly when they have to spend a week away with the other parents. I am sooo lucky to have such a thoughtful and caring husband xx I still missed them crazily but we did have a wonderful time away with the smaller version of our family. It was so nice to spend some time away with my gorgeous man and our gorgeous little men. It is so hard to spend quality time with Jules with a big family, work commitments, friends etc. So it was lovely to have him to myself for a whole week! We had a wonderful time. We took the boys to the blue mountains for a few days and then travelled north to spend time with my grandparents, my aunty Gina and my mums BFF Carol. They were excited to see us (think it more the twins than us!!) and we were spoilt, spoilt, spoilt. Gina even offered to take care of the boys so Jules and I could go out for dinner and act like adults!! It was lovely juvely.

twins with twins

I know this is a little late but the kids and I attended a party for more twins last month. Our good friends Heidi and Damian have twins Jess and Millie. It was their first b'day which was exciting. Charlie spent nearly the entire time eating while Felix crawled along after him eating his crumbs!!~ All of the kids had a ball as we celebated a big day. Oh yeah, we almost lost Charlie. I couldnt see him and when I saw the doos ajar, I panicked!. Yep, there he was walking about 500 metres up the road - not a care in the world. I reckon he would have just kept walking.....

Happy bithday Jess and Millie!! xx
